I wasn’t planning on writing a review this early, but after putting real miles on this bike I feel like people deserve an honest take.
I paid about $1,150 for the Aipas M2 Max, and honestly I expected a decent budget ebike. What I got was something way more fun than I expected.
First impression — it’s a big bike. I’m 5’8” and 155 lbs, and yeah, at first I thought I bought something too large. You can’t flat-foot both sides easily, but once you start riding, it disappears. The step-through frame and fat tires make it surprisingly easy to handle.
Ride quality is where this bike shines. Full suspension front and rear makes a huge difference. The rear air shock and fat tires soak up bumps really well. It feels planted and stable, even at higher speeds.
And yes — it’s FAST.
PAS 5 easily hits mid-30s mph. I’ve seen 36+ mph without trying too hard. That’s honestly borderline scary territory, so I mostly cruise PAS 2–3 around 16–24 mph. That’s the sweet spot where it feels fun but safe.
Range has been solid so far. On PAS 3 I’m seeing great battery efficiency. For example, I did ~19 miles and only used about 2 bars. Voltage readings still looked healthy afterward, so real-world range seems legit.
Comfort-wise, the only real issue early on was saddle soreness. The stock seat is typical budget ebike stuff. After swapping to a wider comfort saddle and dialing in the angle, it became way better. Small adjustments made a big difference.
I also had a small clicking noise from the pedal under load. Pulled it off, added grease, reinstalled — completely gone. So far, zero major mechanical issues.
What I like most:
• Insane value for the money
• Very fast if you want it to be
• Comfortable once dialed in
• Full suspension actually works
• Stable fat tire ride
What to know:
• It’s bigger than it looks in photos
• You may need to tweak seat position
• Too fast for beginners in PAS 5
• Stock saddle is average
I bought this bike mainly to cruise, run errands, and just enjoy riding again — and it absolutely delivered. I’ve already done longer rides and even used it to visit family across town. It makes you want to ride more, which says everything.
Bottom line:
If you’re expecting a $3,000 premium ebike, this isn’t that. But if you want a fun, fast, comfortable ebike that punches way above its price — this thing is a blast.
No regrets here. The “Blue Rocket” name stuck for a reason.
